Monday happy things

I’m a little late with my list of Monday happy things but, given the gorgeous British Summer weather we’re experiencing today, I’m sure you can forgive me.

After an exciting weekend I had a hard job deciding the 5 things which made me happiest over the last week.

Top of my list must be my new Orla Kiely shopper from Tesco. The pattern is called Sunset Flower and reminded me of patchwork flowers. I can’t get enough of these tote bags as they’re perfect for shopping and really strong too so last ages.

I found this gorgeous 1960s Waddington puzzle on my latest charity shopping trip. It features 13 different birds and each piece has a letter on them, designed to help you spell the names of the birds. I love these kind of vintage puzzles and I’m really tempted to make them into cards or frame them.

My 3 year old had her pre-school jabs dressed as Doc McStuffins. She’s a big fan of Doc so when I told her about her jabs she wanted to dress up and take her Doctor’s bag. She looked adorable and was really brave too. I can’t believe my little lady is almost ready to start pre-school.

Over the weekend I’m been busy making and sending swap packages. This year I joined with the Perfect Strangers swap organised by Oh Comely magazine. I’m been finishing off a sweet little banner for my part of the Handmade Gift Exchange.

There have been unicorn biscuits made and eaten.

I love your Orla Kiely bag, can’t believe you found it in Tesco’s though!
