Monday Happy List – Week 95

gingerbread men at Paperchase

I’m so excited that my children have their last few days of school. We are all so ready for a more relaxed routine and to de-school. The end of term has brought it’s usual flurry of activities:

Both my children had excellent School reports so I’ve been the proudest mum imaginable. I’m so glad they enjoy school and do well at everything they try.

One of my 6 year olds’ after school clubs is football and I was surprised when he was named Footballer of the Year. I think this is for making so much progress over the year. I am not sporty at all so love the fact he takes part in so many activities like football.

My 6 year old is on a bit of a roll at the moment. Over the weekend he went camping for the first time with his local Beavers group. Beavers is another activity he has thrown himself into this year. This term has been a different outdoors activity each week and he has loved every single one; from horse riding to den building, going on a nature trail and now camping too. Over this year he has changed so much and I love his enthusiasm for trying new things.

I have everything crossed that my husband will get discharged from hospital today. He has been in for just over a week and I would love to see him back home with us today.

Somehow amongst the daily hospital visits and children’s activities I found time to attend some Christmas press shows. Over two days I squeezed in Argos, Wilko, Hobbycraft and Paperchase press shows! I saw so many lovely products that I can’t wait to write a few posts and share some pics soon. I can’t even think about Christmas on the hottest day of the year but soon.

Beavers is such a great think for young ones. My mum and sister are both Beaver leaders, and they love watching the kids learn and develop.

Hope my comment goes through this time! I just wanted to wish you all the best for the end of term. Looking forward to reading your reports about the Christmas in July shows.
