Monday happy list – week 85

Posted on May 9, 2016April 13, 2024 by jenny

It’s been such a busy week but as usual I’m happy to sit down and share the 5 things that have made me happy in the last 7 days.

I started the week by buying a new car. It’s only my third ever car but definitely a step up from old, much-loved one. My new-to-me car has a (working!) radio, two sun roofs and central locking. I’m still getting used to it but it feels so good to have a decent car.

I’ve made a real effort to catch up on some sewing projects this week which has been lovely. I always feel so much better about myself if I take some time to work on my own projects, rather than my every day crafting with the children. They both have amazing appetites for creativity which I’m grateful for, but sometimes I just need my own creative time too.

Last week we spent a few days at the mum’s then she came back with us. She lives a couple of hours away so I love having an extra pair of hands when she’s here. She’s really patient with the children. She played with them, crafted with them, we took her to visit the local fairy village, just sat in the garden and ate ice cream, and she helped tidy the garden too!

Yesterday we had a fun morning at the Disney Store where the children got a special masterclass from Spiderman, sort of. You can read about our morning with the Marvel Universe Live heroes here.

On Friday I received one of those emails which us bloggers love to open. I can’t wait to share it with you soon!

Have a great week everyone 🙂
