Monday happy list - week 78 - the-gingerbread-house.co.uk

I know I say it every week but that was a blooming busy weekend! Time to sit down and take stock of the last 7 days in my weekly Happy List post.

My son got a new bed which he’s been really excited about. It’s one of those mid-sleeper ones with storage and a desk underneath the bed. I couldn’t believe my husband bought it a few days before my son’s birthday, especially as it meant helping to build it when I should have been finishing off making his presents!

My son turned 6 on Friday and celebrated with a big birthday bash at the local soft play. He had the most amazing Star Wars birthday cake and I put together the party bags. I was a little disappointed with myself that there were no handmade items but I simply ran out of time. The Millennium Falcon soap mould I bought will just have to wait for another time!

My friend Jo told me about the new Uniqlo and Liberty collaboration. As there was no chance of getting to the shops I decided to pop a few things in my online basket. Fingers crossed they will arrive today!

I haven’t been able to leave the house without my Skinfix Hand Repair Care lately. The weather has turned all cold again and the skin has been splitting around my nails. The Hand Repair Care gives my skin a protective layer and makes my skin feel so soft and smooth. There’s an Eczema Balm too which I’ve been using on my children as they have such sensitive skin. It’s great on stubborn patches of dry skin and as it’s steroid free and all natural I have no worries about using it on them. It’s just launched exclusively in Boots and I definitely recommend it.
