Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.
Monday Happy List {Week 352}
Last week was actually a really bad week for me. I had two interviews and didn’t get offered either job. It was disappointing and hugely frustrating for me and it’s going to take me a while to pick myself up.
We spent yesterday at Racewars in Milton Keynes where you can race slot cars round all sorts of different tracks. We went with some friends and it was really lovely to do something different.
We signed up for the Summer Reading Challenge. This is something we do every year and encourages the kids to keep reading during the summer holidays. They only have to make three visits over the summer and digital and audio books count too.
My daughter took part in the Cubs Sports Day which she really enjoyed. It was cancelled last year but she has really been enjoying her weekly meetings and this was a fun opportunity to take part in with other Cubs in the area.
I’m making great progress with The Summer Sampler Block of the Month (finally!). This is something I bought myself a few years ago but never got round to making. So far I’ve stitched six of the twelve blocks and I’m really enjoying having something new to try.

You have reminded me to get my kids signed up for the Summer Reading Challenge as this is something we do yearly except for last year. Hope you have more luck on the job front as well.

Wow the race car place in Milton keynes looks very cool and I bet that was a lot of fun. Sad you didn’t get the job but keep your chin up x

Oh wow I love the sound of Racewars. My sons would love this. It’s a shame its so far from us.
