Monday Happy List

Monday Happy List {Week 345}

Posted on May 24, 2021June 17, 2021 by jenny

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 345}

Last week I went to my first sewing class in months. I headed off into London to Ray Stitch for a beginners sewing machine course. It was a great refresher for me and I ended up with a gorgeous Japanese knot bag. It was really fun to get some sewing tuition and to meet other people (ones I don’t work with!). Hopefully I can go back and do another sewing class soon.

W.K. Kellogg by Kids bars

We were gifted a selection of the new W.K. Kellogg by Kids bars. They are a new healthy snack bar created by kids for kids in 2 flavours – Orange & Carrot and Strawberry, Raspberry & Beetroot. My son really likes them so he has been enjoying them in his packed lunch every day. They make a great after school snack too.

Over the weekend we met up with my sister for lunch in Portsmouth for the first time in 6 months. It was so lovely to see her again and we had a delicious meal in a pub (sitting indoors!). We also took our dog for a walk on the beach in Southsea. He loves a sniff on the beach and it totally tired him out for the rest of the day.

Yesterday we went shopping at London Designer Outlet which was fun. My son needed trainers for school and it was fun to browse shops again. Then we went to our local cinema to watch Peter Rabbit 2. It was a really fun film which we all enjoyed watching and it was amazing to just go to the cinema again (the first time in 15 months!).

Haribo Sour Sparks and Starbeams

Haribo also kindly gifted us some of their new sweets to celebrate National Vegetarian Week. New for 2021 are Sour Sparks and Starbeams, both a huge hit with my 9 year old who just loves her sweets.

Have a great week everyone!

    Glad to know that you had a great week. For me, we had a pool party (just family) to celebrate my niece’s 25th (2nd pandemic) birthday. We ordered seafood from our favorite restaurant and had it delivered to our home. We all had a great time.

    I’ve not heard of those Kellogs kids bars before. I do love the sound of them. It sounds like a healthy snack.

    It’s lovely that you were able to see your sister after so many months of not meeting or seeing each other.

    Oh I loved the first Peter Rabbit movie. I didn’t realise Peter Rabbit 2 was on the cinema. We will have to book a trip during half term,

    It must have been so nice to go to a sewing class again and be in front of a real teacher and with other people. I’m going back to the cinema for the first time next Saturday and I’m so excited x

    Sounds like you had a lovely week especially since you started back your sewing class which is something I have always wanted to do myself as well. The kids Kelloggs snack bar looks yummy too

    It sounds like you have had some fun times getting out and about again. Designer outlets can be amazing for grabbing a bargain or two can’t they!

    My husband loves Haribo lol. Good to know they are vegetarian. I always wonder about sweets like this that could have gelatin in
