Monday Happy List

Monday Happy List {Week 339}

Monday Happy List

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 339}

Did you have snow last week? The weather was so cold and we did see quite a few flakes of snow during the week. We are all more than ready for Spring, especially after we saw so many gorgeous spring flowers out at Eastcote House Gardens on a dog walk last week.

My children were lucky to spend the week at Iver Environment Centre. They’ve been a few times before and always had fun. Due to current restrictions they had to spend the week outdoors. Thankfully the weather improved throughout the week so although they started out in snow, by the end of the week they had warm sunshine.

Spring Craftpod box

I received the Spring Craftpod box for my birthday last month and have already completed the projects. It’s one of my favourite subscription boxes so I was looking forward to receiving it. The two projects were a cute greenfinch cross stitch and a needle book with embroidered mimosas. Whilst the kids were busy I had plenty of time to craft, I doubt I will get so much done this week.

My gorgeous vintage kitchen cupboard needed an update so I started to paint it in a beautiful teal colour last week. It hadn’t been painted since we moved to our previous house so it was looking pretty tired, especially as the kids kept sticking their pictures up on it. Our local DIY store recommended the paint and it’s slowly coming together. I need to replace the hinges on the large drop down shelf but it’s in pretty good shape and a dream to paint.

I went for a walk with a friend last week who reminded me that we were going to eat in Burger Bey in Ickenham before everything shut. We went and ordered from Burger Bey for our Saturday night takeaway and it was amazing. As well as my burger I had a Salted Caramel Pretzel milkshake which was delicious. I can’t wait to eat in as soon as we are allowed to.

Have a great week!

    How lovely does the Craftpod sound – I bet it is such a nice surprise for those who love to craft. I used to really enjoy cross stitch when my hands worked.

    Ohh that milkshake sounds amazing, burgers and milkshakes is a great takeaway choice. We had snow as well last week, it’s so strange how the weather has been x

    Oh nice that your Spring Craftpod box has arrived. Spring is definitely here but somehow the snow this week surprised us.
