Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.
Monday Happy List {Week 326}
This week we have been home schooling as the UK headed into another National Lockdown. The school has provided a daily timetable as well as two online meetings each day. It has been a struggle turning our living room into a school room again, especially when the expectations of the school have increased.
We left our Christmas decorations up until Twelfth Night but I was glad to take them down. The house feels so much bigger now and I had a good clean over the weekend (still finding bits of tinsel everywhere though!). I also took the opportunity to move some furniture around. If we have to spend more time at home then we may as well be as comfortable as possible.
I’ve been trying to craft every day. We’ve all started bullet journalling (yes, even the kids) and I loved making the gingerbread house mosaic I was given at Christmas. I’ve made a few mosaics now and it definitely gets easier each time I make one. I customised the kit by adding our surname and I can’t wait to hang it somewhere.
The children are huge fans of the game Among Us. So far we’ve made gingerbread Crewmates, painted Among Us rocks and now we’ve stitched Among Us plushies too. They were so happy to design them, choose their felt and sew. We did a little each day as a break from school work. Each plushie has a backpack and they look great together.
We had a few muddy, cold walks over the weekend. We went to check on some of the geocaches we’ve placed locally and we managed to get the pup off his lead a few times which was good. It was really cold though so I’m hoping it gets a little warmer soon!
Have a great week everyone.

January 11, 2021 at 2:37 pmThis is a great idea to have a happy list, I think I will join in. There’s so much doom and gloom around we need reasons to be cheerful. I also like to search for good news stories.
