Monday Happy List

Monday Happy List {Week 324}

Starting the week by writing the Monday Happy List  is something I’ve been doing for a while. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 324}

We’re a week through our Christmas holiday already. Looking back through the photos I have taken and we haven’t done much. We’ve watched Christmas films, snoozed on the sofa with the dog, followed the latest Draw With Rob videos and played games.

The children stated the week by taking part in an online library session to make a light up Christmas decoration. We have really missed visiting our local library as it has been closed for refurbishment. It was fun to take part in something online and they both enjoyed the creative activity.

This year the children received Elfie’s Christmas Advent Calendar Letters, sent all the way from the North Pole via the International Elf Service. They loved trying to find them each day, hidden by our cheeky elves. The letters were really beautiful and I was so pleased to find the children were keeping their letters safe and re-reading them. They arrived in a lovely box so the children will be able to keep them as a wonderful Christmas keepsake.

Christmas Day didn’t start too early for us but the children were eager to open their stockings and presents. We had to slow them down a little so they could appreciate what they were receiving. As usual my son received a large Lego set, this year the Razor Crest from The Mandalorian, my husband got the Lego LandRover and my daughter had lots of Pokemon toys and games. I was lucky to get some craft kits which have been perfect for making whilst watching films. I think my sons favourite gift was a little Fondue set I picked up at Flying Tiger as a stocking filler. The kids have had so much fun melting chocolate coins and dipping sweets in. It’s always the last minute gifts that they have the most fun with.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year.

    Sounds like you’ve had a nice Xmas break even if it feels like you haven’t done much because it’s the same for most of us. Have a lovely new year x
