Monday Happy List {Week 314}

I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 314}

On Saturday we usually watch a film and last week we sat down to watch a preview of spooky family sci-fi film Max Winslow and The House of Secrets. Starring Sydne Mikelle as young tech genius Max, the plot follows five teens, who are invited to the home of an eccentric billionaire to compete in a game to win his mansion. The night takes a dark turn when they become trapped in the house and are forced to face off against each other and an evil AI entity who controls everything in the house, including their fate. Munro Films will be releasing Max Winslow And The House of Secrets (cert 12A) on October 23rd in time for school UK school half term. Spoiler – we loved it!

On Saturday we went to Watford so my daughter could go climbing at Rock Up Watford. It had been ages since we last visited but she loves climbing so we booked her in. She enjoyed an hour of climbing whilst we went shopping. My son won an art competition and received a voucher so he enjoyed spending that. I picked up a few more Christmas presents as I like to get my shopping done early.

I drank a lot of hot chocolate this week. I don’t often get time with just one of my children but my son and I went for a cheeky hot chocolate whilst his sister was climbing. It was really lovely to spend time with him. We also took our pup for a walk at Fassnidge Park and had a delicious hot chocolate at the Rusty Bike Cafe there.

I’ve been busy working on a few Gift Guides which are always fun to produce. I photographed all my products yesterday and can’t wait to publish them next week. I love to start my shopping early and I hope there will be some great gift ideas for my readers.

We’re still sharing ideas for Halloween too. I got my Cricut out to make some Trick or Treat bags last week and am hoping to make some more fabric pumpkins to display today. I also wrote about our socially distanced trip to the Pop Up Farm to see their amazing pumpkin patch. Book now for half term if you’re looking for something fun to do.

Have a great week everyone.

    It sounds like an interesting movie you got to watch! I’ll have to keep an eye out for it! I always love thinking over the happy things each week, I finished my SLS course so I’m happy about that – I only missed one session to which was incredible.

    Rock up always looks like so much fun, I’d have loved to go there when I was younger. Good on you for being prepared with Christmas presents x
