Monday Happy List

Monday Happy List {Week 276}

Bichon Frise puppy

I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I love to write.

Monday Happy List {Week 276}

Last week my daughter was invested into Cubs bringing an end to our 4 year association with Beavers. I stopped volunteering with the Scouts at the end of last year and I’m pretty excited to have two children in Cubs. My daughter is ready for some new adventures with Cubs and is really excited about the programme for this term which includes lots of outdoor adventures.

Not so exciting was me filing my Tax Return but it had to be done. I’m pretty organised and keep my accounts up to date throughout the year but this is a task I don’t enjoy doing. Thankfully I’ve been out and about and seen so many signs of Spring, including lots of beautiful snowdrops.

I’ve filled the house with jars of colourful daffodils too. The weather has been so dreary so it’s brought some much needed colour into the house. I’ve enjoyed looking at them whilst curling up with my latest book, The Lost Lights of St Kilda by Elizabeth Gifford. I got this to read via NetGalley (sign up, it’s a great way to read the latest books!) and I can’t put it down.

Our little Bichon Frise puppy turned 11 weeks! He is a bit of a full time job (added to looking after the children, being self-employed and working in a school) and I’m getting a little tired of the accidents. However the children love playing with him and we managed a few short walks with him.

I received the Winter Craftpod box for Christmas and really enjoyed the contents which included a cross stitch and collage activity. I seem to be on permanent toilet training watch so haven’t had as much crafting time as I would have liked. However, I managed to finish both these little crafty activities which was fun.

Have a great week everyone.

    We love seeing the first signs of Spring and like you, already have some daffodils in the house. Crafting is great fun and it sounds like a great Craftpod x

    Sounds like a wonderful week you have had. Awwww 11 weeks is such a fun age! We have a miniature cockapoo who is 6 months old and puppies are hard work but so worth it!

    My daughter would have loved to have been a cub like her twin brother. She was a rainbow which she found exceptionally girly but refused to join brownies. The scouting movement used to be extraordinarily sexist I am glad things have changed. My youngest son has a rescue bichon fries. They are lovely dogs. Enjoy.

    Congrats to your daughter on joining Cubs, my son is in Beavers and he totally loves it. He can’t wait to be promoted to Cubs next year when he gets old enough.
