Monday Happy List

Monday Happy List {Week 273}

Walking the Snowman trail London

I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing. Our Christmas holidays are over, the decorations are put away and my husband has taken all our leftover sweets to his work (back to Slimming World this week for me!). We really made the most of our last week!

My 9 year old loves cat so we arranged to visit Paws For Thought Cat Cafe in Romsey. He was delighted when he realised where we were going and loved spotting the cats whilst we had lunch. The cats were really well looked after and had some fun places to sit and watch was going on. You can read about our visit to Paws For Thought here.

Bichon Frise puppy

We’ve been talking about getting a puppy for a while so arranged to visit some Bichon Frise puppies last week. They were adorable so we decided to take the plunge and adopt a puppy. This meant a shopping trip to pick up some puppy essentials for bringing him home.

I love a trip to London and we managed to squeeze in a visit to the Walking the Snowman trail in London before it finished. The festive sculpture trail celebrated Raymond Briggs’ The Snowman, featuring 12 Snowmen, decorated according to the song ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’. It was really lovely and gave us some much needed fresh air.

My 8 year old loves to be active so it feels like we’ve been out a lot, trying to keep her busy. She loves her bike so we’ve been on lots of bike rides over the holiday, we also went to Kids Run Free. She received a FitBit for Christmas so is enjoying seeing how many steps she does each day.

On Saturday we went to pick up our puppy! It was only a few days between meeting him for the first day and bringing him home which has been a bit surreal. Our house has been puppy proofed and is now full with a puppy crate, basket, absorbent pads and puppy toys! He is doing really well so far so it will be interesting to see how we all cope with a puppy and going back to work and school.

Have a great week everyone!
