Monday Happy List {Week 265}

Posted on November 11, 2019 by jenny

I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.

Monday Happy List {Week 265}

After a busy week we decided to have a quiet weekend at home. We actually went to view a house near where we live which I immediately fell in love with, but unfortunately I don’t think the house is practical for our family right now. I spent much of the weekend making things on my Cricut Maker. The children both have to wear spotty clothes to school for Children In Need on Friday, so I cut loads of vinyl circles on my Maker and added them to their clothes!

Last week the Cricut EasyPress Mini I ordered arrived. It’s so cute and should make a couple of advent projects I’m planning super quick. I can’t wait to share my homemade advent calendars with you all.

Earlier in the week I took myself off to London for the day. I had wanted to visit the Pre-Raphaelite Sisters exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery ever since I read The Doll Factory earlier this year. The exhibition looks at the contribution of twelve women, revealing the women behind the pictures and their creative roles in the Pre-Raphaelite’s successive phases between 1850 and 1900. The women were Joanna Wells, Fanny Cornforth, Marie Spartali Stillman, Evelyn de Morgan, Christina Rossetti, Georgiana Burne-Jones, Effie Millais, Elizabeth Siddal, Maria Zambaco, Jane Morris, Annie Miller, Fanny Eaton. I had only heard of some of them and it was a fascinating exhibition. Plus I got half price entry with my National Art Pass!

I couldn’t resist adding a new Christmas mug to my collection. I usually get all my Christmas mugs out at this time of year as I love to use them for hot chocolate. I couldn’t resist this gorgeous Gingerbread House mug from Asda though. It’s huge so I can only fill it half full but it’s a really fun addition to my collection.

I love a list so decided to try bullet journalling. I bought myself a gorgeous Moleskine journal from TKMaxx and have been scribbling away in it all week. I’ve got loads of inspiration from Pinterest and I’m hoping it will make me feel more organised and on top of everything.

Merrylicious Fruit Shoot drinks

On Friday we received a special gifted delivery of Merrylicious Fruit Shoot drinks. They’ve had a seasonal makeover and the children were very jealous when they saw one of them had been personalised with my name. The limited edition Fruit Shoot Merrylicious features the festive flavours of apple and berry. They children really enjoyed them and couldn’t wait to add them to their lunch boxes this morning.

Have a great week everyone!

    Falling in love with an impractical house is so difficult. I’ve done the same but I just don’t think it will fit our growing family.

    I’ve been searching hi and low for that gingerbread house mug but it’s not sold in the US. I’m so bummed. I’m obsessed with finding it

      Hi. I bought it from Asda, not sure if it’s available anywhere else.
