I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.
Monday Happy List {Week 262}
I’m so happy it’s half term. Seven weeks of school almost finished me off so I’m really glad that we can all have a break from the school routine. We’ve escaped to the West Country for a few days and I already feel so much better.
I started the week by making a random weave basket thanks to a kit I was gifted from Yodomo. It was a really mindful craft and I found the instructions easy to follow. I’d never tried making a random weave basket before but I quite like how it turned out.
I recently re-joined Slimming World. I’ve always found it works really well for me and was delighted to lose 7lbs in my first week back at Slimming World. I’m trying to be a bit more mindful in what I eat as we’re currently staying in a hotel. Fingers crossed I will protect my weight loss as I’m already able to wear some of my old clothes again!
Although I work in a school I was allowed time out to go and watch my son perform in his Harvest Festival at school. The older my children get, the less opportunities there seem to be to see them at school events. I couldn’t wait to go and see him as he’s been talking about Harvest Festival for weeks. It was a lovely performance and he was allowed to leave school early so we got some bonus time together.
Exeter is one of my favourite cities (closely followed by Bristol) so I an enjoying a few nights away in the city. I love how small the city centre is, our lovely hotel with swimming pool (perfect in you have kids!), and the close proximity to the beach. We had a lovely walk on the beach at Dawlish yesterday and squeezed in a trip to the cinema to watch Shaun the Sheep: Farmageddon which was very funny.
Have a great week everyone!
