I love to start the week by writing the Monday Happy List. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.
Monday Happy List {Week 261}
I packed a lot into last week. I started with a trip into London for the Cricut Meet and Greet. I spent a fun few hours learning more about Infusible Ink, the EasyPress Mini and how you can now use Design Space offline. It was great to meet other crafters and see how they use their Cricut machines.
My children had a visit from the writer Jim Smith last week. He wrote the Barry Loser and Future Ratboy books which they both love. They were allowed to draw along with him while he talked and they both came home with an amazing sheet of doodles. My son loves drawing and making his own cartoons so this was just the best day at school for him. We even stayed behind after school so Jim could autograph his sheet of drawings!
Both my children are pretty creative but my son has been working hard to get as many Blue Peter badges as he can. Each one has different requirements but he was delighted to earn his limited edition 2019 Sports badge by trying out the climbing walls at Rock Up Watford.
On Saturday I was lucky to spend the day at the Knitting and Stitching Show at Ally Pally with a friend. I couldn’t wait to go fabric shopping and also try some workshops! We learned how to make coiled pots and try out machine paper piecing, both of which I’ve wanted to try for ages.
Over the next few months I’m going to be working with Yodomo as an ambassador. Yodomo brings the expertise of independent artists and makers directly to you via online workshops and craft kits you can try at home. I’m excited to tell you more about my first project soon.
