Monday Happy List – Week 117

Yay, it’s Monday and I only have three days to finish wrapping my Christmas gifts before my children finish school. Time for my weekly post, my Monday Happy List.

Last week I went to see my daughter in her Reception class Christmas concert, as well as my son in his Year 2 Christmas concert. Thankfully both classes did a different play but I have to admit the songs were a little familiar! My children have been singing their songs for weeks. Not only did I have to supply their costumes, I also had to pay for tickets to see their Christmas plays, and give a donation on the way out.

I finally finished my Christmas shopping. I still have the wrapping to do but I quite enjoy sitting down with a glass of wine and watching a Christmas film.

On Wednesday the children had their latest karate grading and passed! They both put in a lot of effort to learning some new skills and were so pleased to receive new belts.

We surprised my son with tickets to go and see Rogue One on Thursday after school. I was a little gutted one of us had to stay at home with my daughter but he was so excited. I can’t wait to go and watch the film, hopefully we can squeeze in another trip to the cinema before Christmas.

On Saturday we took a trip on our local Santa Express to see Father Christmas – yes I know this was our third visit this season! It was a little foggy and cold but it has become a family tradition and one we all enjoy.
