As someone who loves the changing seasons it feels like we have experienced two great events last week, starting with Halloween and ending with Bonfire Night.
My kids go crazy for Halloween and were so excited to decorate the house and get themselves dressed up. We have lovely neighbours who we popped round to visit and received a handful of visitors ourselves. We’re probably the only household who still has their pumpkins outside but we had 4 and that’s a lot of pumpkin to dispose of.
We ended the week with two Firework displays, one local and another near my mum’s. The weather was perfect for both and it was lovely to wrap up warm and go out into the darkness. The second display we went to included a huge Bonfire which the children had never been able to experience before and everyone loved it.
Blog-wise It feels like I’ve been super busy, working with BEAR Claws, reviewing a super fun Hot Wheels set, and immersing ourselves in Christmas pictures books thanks to Oxford Children’s Books (check out my post if you want to win a bundle for your kids). We’ve been crafty too, making our own Christmas poo inspired by the hilarious The Dinosaur That Pooped Christmas. I think that might be one of my favourite crafts – ever!
There’s been lots of gingerbread love this week. We made some awesome gingerbread body scrub to wrap up and give at Christmas. There were gingerbread house biscuits too.
I can also finally share my latest cheeky papercut. I’ve been working my way through Cut It Out! book and cut a really fun picture and framed it for my sister’s birthday. It was her birthday yesterday so I am happy to show a picture of it.
Have a great week everyone.

November 9, 2016 at 12:33 pmIt sounds like you’ve had a lovely time. My daughter loves Halloween too, although she was very upset that it did’t coincide with a school holiday this year!

Looking at the size of the bonfire I think your kids will certainly remember it for a long time 🙂
Oh, and the poop craft sound like something my 3 year old would enjoy. He is really into mixing mud at the moment.
