Monday Happy List – Week 103

It’s Monday again and for once I am sitting in silence, listening to the radio all on my own. Time for my weekly Monday Happy List post!

Monday was the last day of the school holidays when we were all together so we celebrated by visiting Northala Fields,  local country park. Unfortunately the boating pond was out of action but they have an amazing play park and we took a model car too. It was really quiet and we almost had the place to ourselves. It was also a great way for the children to use up some of their limitless energy.

My 6 year old started Year 2 on Tuesday. He was really looking forward to going back to school, especially as this term they are learning about castles! It was very quiet at home without him but he had a great day.

I finally got round to having a beginners crochet lesson at Tea & Crafting, thanks to Obby. You can see what I got up to on this post.

My sweet 4 year old started Reception. She  only went for a few hours but she was so happy to see her friends from Nursery. She’s building up to full time over the next few weeks and I can’t believe I’ll soon have both my babies at school full-time.

a trip to the farm

Yesterday we went to Odds Park Farm as my 4 year old had been invited to a birthday party there. We all decided to go as the sun was shining and we had a lovely day. Despite it only being down the road it was 2 years since our last visit. Mental note to visit sooner.

We’ve started work on our kitchen. Hopefully our new kitchen will be installed next Monday so we’ve been de-cluttering and taking the tiles off the walls. It hasn’t been too messy so far but I’m not looking forward to having a house full of builders.

A new kitchen sounds exciting, hope it all goes smoothly.
