Mega Bloks Spongebob Squarepants review

Posted on August 14, 2014January 27, 2017 by jenny

My children have been totally spoilt over the Summer holidays. They were sent some of the new toys from the Mega Bloks Spongebob Squarepants range to review. We used to have some of the Mega Bloks First Builders range which were great for developing fine motor skills but I wasn’t aware that Mega Bloks made so many other toys.

My children received a Mega Bloks Spongebob Squarepants Micro Action Figures, Mega Bloks Spongebob Squarepants Boat Racer and the Mega Bloks Spongebob Squarepants Invisible Boatmobile Rescue. The toys were all visually appealing and my children love the adventures of Spongebob Squarepants so were excited to build and play with the toys.

Mega Bloks Spongebob Squarepants Micro Action Figures

I like blind bags and think they are a great little treat or pocket money toy. My children have quite a few (Lego, Playmobil, Hello Kitty) and they seems to be really popular products. Series 1 features eight seaworthy characters from around Bikini Bottom. They’re recommended for ages 5 and over. I also liked that these figures can be combined with other Mega Bloks SpongeBob SquarePants playsets to build your own wacky world of fun in Bikini Bottom.

Mega Bloks Spongebob Squarepants Boat Racer and Mega Bloks Spongebob Squarepants Invisible Boatmobile Rescue

Get ready for a race around Bikini Bottom with the SpongeBob Racer. This buildable racer comes with a collectible SpongeBob, his silly sunglasses and goofy hat. Construct the cool boat and cruise on down to the Krusty Krab or race all the way to Mrs. Puff’s Boating School! This set contained 74 pieces and Big Brother enjoyed building it with help from Daddy.

Build the Invisible Boatmobile with cool translucent blocks and take off for a high-speed chase! Help, Plankton is launching jellyfish everywhere! It’s up to SpongeBob and Patrick – dressed as Mermaidman and Barnacleboy – to save them with the Invisible Boatmobile’s not-so-invisible net! This set contains 337 pieces and took a little longer to build.

Both are easy to make, the instruction books are similar to other construction toys, and they are great for recreating your own Bikini Bottom.

The toys are reasonably priced (Mega Bloks Spongebob Squarepants Micro Action Figures RRP £1.99, Mega Bloks Spongebob Squarepants Boat Racer RRP £9.99, Mega Bloks Spongebob SquarepantsInvisible Boatmobile Rescue RRP £19.99).
