K’NEX Mighty Makers Director’s Cut

K’NEX Mighty Makers Director’s Cut

Posted on January 12, 2017January 13, 2020 by jenny

Both my children love construction toys and making their own ‘unboxing videos’ so were excited to receive the K’NEX Mighty Makers Director’s Cut to review. Lights. Camera. Action! Use the 300 K’NEX pieces included, plus interactive, story-based building instructions, to explore the science behind film making. With bonus online instructions you can incorporate a mobile device to make your own movie!

K’NEX Mighty Makers Director’s Cut

Founded in 1992, K’NEX Brands, the world’s most innovative construction toy company, was established to make and sell what has become one of the world’s leading integrated construction systems for children, and is America’s STEM building solution. Winner of over 350 international awards and recognitions, K’NEX is focused on Building Worlds Kids Love and encourages youngsters to “imagine, build and play.”

K’NEX Mighty Makers Director’s Cut

We’ve had a few K’NEX sets and found them pretty straightforward to put together, the visual instructions are brilliant. With the Mighty Makers Director’s Cut you can film the next big movie with Lily and her dog, Zoom. The set contains 300+ K’NEX parts and pieces which all clip together to build a fun theatre set.

There are lots of accessories including a film camera, movie clapper, dog bone, hoop, chairs, and graphic panels for three different filmmaking themed builds. There were also enough pieces to make a stand to hold an iPhone which my children loved. Using the set you can play out and film your own little productions – you can see that Lego features heavily in ours already!

K’NEX Mighty Makers Director’s Cut

The Mighty Makers Director’s Cut is a fun set which is giving my children hours of fun. K-NEX is a fun construction toy and I love that this set harnesses technology which my children are really interested in at the moment. The instructions have lots of suggestions for trying different things and learning about filming techniques, and you can find more instructions online for making other models.

It is so lovely to see them playing with a new toy as they tend to stick to their favourites, and I am tempted to try out some of the other sets too! The Mighty Makers Director’s Cut has an RRP £24.99 and is recommended for ages 7+. For more information, please visit here.

How fun! My kids are too little now but there were K’Nex when I younger so I imagine we can still plan in a few more years.
