You all know how much we love subscription boxes. There’s nothing better than a box of treats delivered to your door, especially when most of my mail comes in a little brown envelope. Over the last few years we’ve tried a few of the Japan Candy Box and they never fail to delight. In case you haven’t come across it before, this is a delicious monthly subscription box filled with 8-10 sweet treats from Japan.

We recently received the October 2019 Japan Candy Box Trick or Treat box. Everything came neatly packed in a cardboard box and the children literally squealed with delight when they saw it as they knew what would be inside.

We’ve tried a few of these boxes before and we knew what to expect. There was a lovely leaflet telling you about all the products which we found useful. Obviously coming from Japan we didn’t really understand any of the words on the packets!

I let the children take it in turns to pick a product to try. Little Sis just loves Pokemon so picked the Pokemon Halloween Party Chocolate Snacks which were delicious. She was kind enough to let us all try one and they were all shapes like a Pikachu head! If I ever find a Japan Candy Box which only features Pokemon then I will have to get it for her.

We worked our way through each snack. As well as the Pokemon Halloween Party Chocolate Snacks our box included Tohato Caramel COrn Halloween Mini Pack. Happy Halloween Umaibo Snack Stick, Koala’s March Halloween Biscuits, Terrible Ghost Story Gum, Shimi Halloween Choco Corn Stars, Toppo Halloween Edition Biscuit Sticks, Tohato Bokun Habanero Chips, Black Thunder Halloween Chocolate Bar and Monstro Frankenstein Gum.

The theme of the box was Trick or Treat but there were only a couple of products we weren’t keen on. I don’t usually let the children eat chewing gum but they enjoyed the cola and soda flavoured Monstro Frankenstein Gum, especially when it made their tongues change colour. We also found the Tohato Bokun Habanero Chips very spicy but fun to try.

Overall we loved the mix of products and thought it was a great way to celebrate Halloween.
