Hot Wheels Super Speed Blastway review

Posted on May 24, 2015February 17, 2019 by jenny

My 5 year old has quite simple tastes in toys, if it has wheels he’s generally happy. He especially loves Hot Wheels cars, and so do I, as they are pocket money-friendly.

He was sent the new Hot Wheels Super Speed Blastway and a Hot Wheels tshirt from the new Zara Hot Wheels collection to review. He’s only 5 but quite tall so received a size 7-8 shirt which fits him perfectly. The tshirt features a fun shiny text print and is lovely and soft.

T-SHIRT HOT WEELS BLAU MARIAs well as the lovely new tshirt he also received the Hot Wheels Super Speed Blastway set. This is a fun but noisy toy which he has been sharing with his sister. It came with one car but he has lots of other Hot Wheels cars to play with. It was easy to set up and it has been providing great entertainment for my children.

You can compete against another racer to see who can blast their car to be the champion. Racers launch up towards the grandstands so fast, they knock off the pit crew one at a time with every lap, until the car in the lead activates the checkered flag for a grand victory.

Kids will love the side-by-side racing action controlled by two slam launchers. The grandstands feature pop off characters which are released after the completion of each lap around the speedway, and the finish flag appears at the end of the race to reward the winner! It’s a really fun toy and there are several ways to play so we have been able to extend the race with our existing track. Join Team Hot Wheels at www.HotWheels.com for more awesome action!

The Hot Wheels Super Speed Blastway from Mattel is priced at around RRP £22.99, suitable for ages 4+, and available from all good toy shops including Amazon.
