So many good things are happening at the moment. I received an early birthday present from my sister in the shape of the new Orla Kiely colouring book. I love this book a lot! The name Orla Kiely goes hand in hand with print and this book features many of her well-loved patterns. There ‘s a handy colour palette so you can follow her colour style or make up your own and see how some of your favourite prints could look like in your style.
I was happy to have some time to myself to work on some projects last week. I finished a little upcycle I started months ago when I had some inspiration on how to finish it off.
I’ve been using my Planner and sticking to it! It’s great for making notes and to do lists and I’ve even managed to use some of the Planner supplies I’ve picked up. However I’ve realised that the Planner I’m using just isn’t big enough for all my lists. I popped into kikki.k to look at their Planners but they weren’t quite what I was looking for so my search continues for now.
On Saturday we had a trip into the West End and I got to visit all my favourite shops – Orla Kiely, Cath Kidston, Sass & Belle, kikki.k. My husband managed to break my favourite Orla Kiely mug so treated me to a new one. I chose the Raised Stem mug in white with a yellow inside. It is the perfect size for my morning cup of tea.
Mother’s Day was nice and relaxing as we went out for lunch the day before. It meant we could have a quiet day at home and the children surprised me with these gorgeous Orla Kiely egg cups and handmade cards. The only thing I really wanted was a little sewing time so my husband took the children out for an hour whilst I caught up on some sewing. Happy times!
