Little Sis kindly offered to review the new Gruffalo My First Puzzles Jigsaw set from Ravensburger, aimed at children aged 18 months plus. The puzzle is based on the story by Julia Donaldson and the wonderful illustrations by Axel Scheffler. As you can see she was very happy as she adores the Gruffalo.
The box contains four bright and colourful puzzles specially designed for youngsters aged 18 months+. The puzzles feature images of the Gruffalo (2 piece), Snake (3 piece), Mouse (4 piece) and Owl and Snake (5 piece). Each puzzle has a different coloured border which is designed to make the individual puzzle pieces easier to identify and piece together.
Little Sis is 27 months so she was able to choose her favourite character and pick out the right pieces to complete each puzzle. She really enjoyed doing each puzzle and we were able to talk about each animal and relate it the story which really extended our playing time.
The puzzles are made in super-thick white-lined card, just right for little hands. The finished puzzles measure 11.5 x 16cm when completed so are a great size and the perfect introduction to jigsaws. This puzzle gets a big thumbs up from Little Sis!
