I love preparing for Christmas and get excited when I see Christmas products creeping into shops. I know we haven’t had Halloween or Bonfire Night yet but I can’t help picking up Christmas presents, finishing off handmade gifts and signing up to Christmas swaps (Very Berry Xmas Ornament Scrappy Swap, Festive Faith, Hope and Charity Swapping, and an Advent Swap).
Which is why I couldn’t resist this little handful of vintage Christmas goodies on my latest thrifting trip.
I found a lovely retro Christmassy box containing vintage Christmas cards and gift tags. Some are a bit sinister (check out that Father Christmas!) but most are quite sweet. I’m not sure what I’m going to do with them but I had to have them!
Please tell me I’m not alone in getting excited about Christmas?!

October 16, 2011 at 1:34 pmI’ve been planning Christmas for a while – my online baby friend group’s secret santa present is all purchased/made ready to go, and most of the family/friends gifts are purchased or made, with lists well under way. I just love it, and by spreading it out, it helps ease the purse/stress.

Love the vintage box though. I will be getting excited about Christmas – just as soon as I’ve done with being excited about Halloween! x

October 17, 2011 at 8:36 pmVery pretty box – perhaps someone didn’t like that Santa card and closed the box before using the other cards? Hope you have fun with them
(I’m getting excited about Christmas now – it’s partly cos I’m already rehearsing songs for some carol concerts)
