FurReal Shaggy Shawn review

What’s the next best thing to getting a real dog? A toy plush dog which you can look after, pet and groom.  Little Sis really wants a dog but it’s just not practical right now. Instead she has to make do with trips to the Dogs Trust London and her cuddly toy collection. Thankfully for her she was kindly sent the FurReal Shaggy Shawn from Hasbro to review.

FurReal Shaggy Shawn

FurReal Shaggy Shawn is a cute canine in search of a new look! Kids can enjoy styling him over and over again with the help of a buzzer accessory that really buzzes! Kids can pretend they’re pet groomers at a grooming salon and turn this hairy hound into a handsome leader of the pack.

Shaggy Shawn toy review

My 6 year old loves her cuddly toys and despite Shaggy Shawn containing a mechanism and batteries he is surprisingly soft and cuddly. Once we had his out of the cardboard packaging we saw he came with his own plastic buzzer. Press the button on the side and you can groom the crazy hair on his head or his beard. There’s also a comb underneath the buzzer to brush him with.

He’s lovely and soft. You can even use your hands to style his hair. It’s really super soft and manageable. There are a few ideas for hair styles on the packaging – or use your own imagination! If you press lightly on his head he makes very cute noises, which is great for imaginative play.

How cute! It reminds me of Pound Puppies which were popular in the 80s.
