Fred's Box

Fred’s Box {a subscription box for kids}

Posted on March 23, 2017April 25, 2017 by jenny

Are you ready for the Easter holidays? We are! This week has been horribly busy and we are now counting down the days until school finishes and we can relax a little. My son has been feeling a little unwell recently so I was really pleased to be able to surprise him with some happy mail today. He received Fred’s Box which he enjoyed opening after school.

Fred’s Box is a children’s subscription box company, sending minifigures direct to your door. These are aimed at children between 4 and 13 and are compatible with all leading brands of building blocks.

Our Fred’s Box came in a small cardboard box which fitted perfectly through the letterbox. It was decorated with a yellow ‘Fred’s Box’ sticker but this didn’t give any indication as to what was inside. My son opened his box and inside was a selection of 6 minifigures, all with a pirate theme.

He took them all out and gave them their various accessories, then went and raided his Lego stash for a base plate to stand them all up on.

Every month there is a different theme: from TV characters, to Superheroes and even Santa or the Easter Bunny. It’s not only the theme that changes each month, either – each month is unique, filled with a fresh batch of awesomeness! All minifigures are compatible with leading brands of building blocks.

We loved the idea of Fred’s Box and think it’s a lovely subscription box for kids. They offer 9 different size boxes to cater for all budgets; Small Fred’s Box contains 2 minifigures; Standard Fred’s Box contains 4 minifigures; Medium Fred’s Box contains 6 minifigures; Large Fred’s Box contains 10 minifigures; Party Fred’s Box contains 15 minifigures. The Mojo (twins division) contains double the amount of the Fred’s boxes.

This is a lovely way to get more minifigures which my children are crazy for. The subscription box makes a great monthly treat or a special gift for holidays. I love the surprise element and can’t wait to try more of these boxes in the future.

    What a fabulous idea! Subscription boxes are such a great thing to look forward to each month. AND I love that the boxes fit through the letterbox – no disappointment there if you are out when they are delivered, etc.

    Thanks for sharing!
