I love a free cover gift on a magazine and recently treated myself to a subscription to Love Embroidery. It’s a fab magazine, stuffed full of projects I would love to stitch. The latest issue (issue 14) included a gorgeous floral embroidered keyring kit which I couldn’t wait to make.
Floral embroidered keyring kit
The floral keyring kit was designed by the amazing Jessie Doe. The kit included a mini wooden hoop, 6 thread colours, cotton fabric and a keychain and ring.
I gave the fabric a press (I know it doesn’t look like it) and transferred the pattern from the magazine onto the fabric using a window and pencil. Then I was able to start stitching.
There were just 5 simple stitches to make the floral design and it was the perfect project for an evening.
Once I had finished the floral design I framed it in the small embroidery hoop and whipped up a quick tassel with the remaining embroidery thread. Then I placed them all together. I’m not quite sure when I’ll use them, I might have to add a drop of hot glue to keep the backing firmly in place first.

I have this kit but haven’t made it yet. Your keyring is so pretty.
I bought the kit today. Where is the transfer? Instructions?
Thanks
The pattern and instructions are in the magazine, you need to transfer the printed pattern to the fabric.
