Monday Happy List

Five Happy Things {Week 526}

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of the adventures we have as a family.

Five Happy Things {Week 526}

Last week I got my Christmas Gingerbread Gift Guide 2024 published! It’s a slimline version this year, mainly because I’ve been following Slimming World for a while and just don’t know want many sweet treats in the house! As well as biscuits and sweet treats, there are also items for the home and decorations too. Check out my Christmas Gift Guide here.

I managed to get my hands on a bag of the viral M&S gingerbread and white chocolate cookies. They are soft and gooey and the gingerbread flavour is just right. Sadly it didn’t make it into my gingerbread gift guide as the kids ate them all before I managed to take a photo. I might just add them in anyway.

I’ve been doodling with more metallic foil decorations for Christmas. We’ve made them throughout the year but they are going to look lovely with all the twinkling lights at Christmas. We’ve made gingerbread houses, stars and trees so far, but I’m sure there will be more made over the coming weeks.

My son was invested into Explorers last week on a trip to the Cenotaph. I had to buy his new uniform but haven’t managed to transfer all his badges over yet. I’m sure some will make it on to his badge blanket.

My niece finally got married at the weekend. It was fun to put our good clothes on and stay in a hotel. We caught up with all our extended family too which was lovely.
