Monday Happy List

Five Happy Things {Week 513}

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of the adventures we have as a family.

Five Happy Things {Week 513}

We went camping at Graffam in West Sussex which we found on the Camping and Caravanning Club Site.  It was a bit of a strange site as all the pitches were amongst the trees which made for lots of tree roots in all the wrong places. We were able to visit Petworth House as well as the Weald and Downland Open Air Museum.

We stumbled across The Big Hoot art trail at Chichester and Arundel. This is a fun art trail featuring 30 big and 30 small decorated owls around Chichester and Arundel. We picked up a map by Chichester Cathedral and were able to spot quite a few statues.

My daughter went to her first festival, Green Man Festival 2024 in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales. It has been very quiet without her but she has been sending lots of photos of the bands she has seen and all the activities she has been trying.

We were recently sent Do You Really Know Your Family? which is a great family game from Moose Games to play. It’s been the perfect size to take on our travels this summer and I can’t wait to tell you more about this quick and easy card game.

Sewing Street hanging plants embroidery kit

Sewing Street also sent me their brand new hanging plants embroidery kit to try out so I have been enjoying some lovely stitching. I received a fun pre-printed panel featuring four different designs you can cut out, place in an embroidery hoop, and start stitching straight away. I haven’t seen anything like this before and it allows you to be creative with your stitching by choosing how many strands of thread to use, what type of stitches you want and even how much of the panel you embroider.

Let me know what has made you happy this week!

    I love that stitching set! It’s such a fun way to create a little cute thing to put in the house. Super cute.

    We’re renovating our deck, it is a very challenging and difficult but I am really enjoying every bit of the process. So this was my happy thing this week.

    So many little things have made me happy this week. I’m reading a really good book at the moment, and both of my cats fell asleep on me cuddled up earlier this week and with one of them this never happens x

    It sounds fun to camp in the trees, but difficult for tents! I like the sound of that board game too – we’ll need to pick it up.
