Monday Happy List

Five Happy Things {Week 456}

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for a while. This is my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures. It’s a post I always love to write.

Five Happy Things {Week 456}

Last week went by in a bit of a flash. My daughter had her Year 6 Transition Day at her new secondary school which was exciting but also a little emotional (for me!). She was very tired from walking all around her new school but enjoyed the food in the canteen so that was a win!

You can tell we are coming towards the end of term as my daughter took part in her end of Year 6 play and organised a stall for her School Fayre. The weather was amazing and I managed to finish work early so I could go and support her. She had so much fun with her friends and made lots of money for school too.

Over the weekend we attended a free family workshop at Guildhall Art Gallery. We last visited during half term and couldn’t wait to go back again. The kids both made models from clay and made short stop motion animation with them. This led perfectly on to hunting sculptures on a public art trail around the City of London – Morphs Epic Art Adventure London.

I finished reading Night Train to Marrakech by Dinah Jefferies. This was the final book in her sweeping historical series. It followed The Daughters of War and The Hidden Palace which I have previously read and reviewed. I enjoyed Night Train to Marrakech just as much as the other two novels and have reviewed it here.

I finally got round to re-stocking my little Etsy shop with more vintage Scrabble tiles. I have so much stock so will be listing more bundles this week. I need to start clearing everything out of our spare room.

Have a great week!
