Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of the adventures we have as a family.
Five Happy Things {Week 4/2025}
Last week I finished embroidering and stitching the cute little gingerbread manor house pincushion from Pretty Fabrics and Trims. This was a real joy to stitch over the last few weeks, I always enjoy a pattern from them. It’s currently sitting with all my other gingerbread houses, they all look very pretty together ( and much too good to use!).
I reached my target at Slimming World on Saturday! This means I can now work at maintaining my weight each week, rather than trying to lose more (or put any on). We celebrated with a special Burns Night meal at our local pub which included cullen skink and haggis wellington. It all tasted amazing.
I submitted and paid my tax return which is probably my least favourite thing to do and hangs over my head pretty much all year. One day I will file my tax return as soon as I can, rather than leave it to the last week.
I’m having a slow start to the year with my reading target. I’m currently reading The Queen of Fives by Alex Hay. Back in 2023 I read The Housekeepers by the same author which was brilliant.
We took our daughter to see the Paddington in Peru film. We are all big fans of the film franchise and enjoyed this one just as much as the other two. It reminded me of the colourful Paddington mural we saw in London a few weeks ago.
