Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me smile in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures.
Five Happy Things {Week 32/2025}
My daughter and I had a day in London where we visited the Jellycat concession in Selfridges. We both love Jellycat and I bought Amuseables Ginger, which I’ve been after for a while. We didn’t manage to book tickets for the Fish and Chips by Jellycat at Selfridges London experience, but you can visit the whole Jellycat concession anyway. It was very busy but Little Sis loved it.
Whilst we were in London we walked some of the Tusk Turtle Trail and spotted some of the decorated turtle sculptures. They were quite large and difficult to photograph, but we loved looking out for them and exploring different bits of London. We finished our day out with trip to see the Bourdon Street Chippy (all sewn by Lucy Sparrow) as well as Bubble Planet London.
I finished my latest Cotton Clara Hoop Club kit which featured a large bow, divided into squares with lots of different stitches. It was quite a fun box to stitch, and I stitched it over the weekend. I’ve started the latest Craftpod box too, am really keen to keep on top of all the boxes I’ve signed up to receive!
I’ve been reading Excellent Women by Barbara Pym. I bought the copy a few years ago as the cover features an Orla Kiely print. It’s a funny story so I’m enjoying it.
Over the weekend we took the teens to Camden market. We used to live in the area so wanted to re-visit the market. Little Sis loved the vintage clothes shops and bought some clothes. Big Brother enjoyed the food, and we loved the ice creams from Hans and Gretel.

You really do excellent work. I always enjoy seeing what needleworking or fabric projects you’re working on.
The box is the cutest ever, I loooooove it…I love how you choose colors that just work together. Beautiful work.
My daughter loves Jellycat as well, so will have to remember this when we are next in London which will probably be next week now
You can pop into the concession in Selfridges but have to book the Fish and Chip experience – you can see it all for free though, without the inevitable expensive purchase!
I’ve always wanted to visit a Jellycat store! Of course, I would probably spend all my money, too, haha!
We love Jellycats too– they are just so cute! I have never been to a Jellycat store before, that would be really cool to check out. Sounds like a fun week.
Your visit to London sounds so fun! Spotting decorative turtle sculptures and popping into the Bubble Planet London are awesome adventures.
There are so many trails happening this summer! We did the penguin one in Southend-by-sea, but some of the turtles looked really cool too. I haven’t been to the jelly cat experience, but want too.
