Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of the adventures we have as a family.
Five Happy Things {Week 3/2025}
Last week I’ve been working on the gingerbread manor house felt pincushion I started a few weeks ago. It’s a really pretty little project and I’ve enjoying embroidering the little details on it. I’m hoping I can finish it this week as I have a few projects I want to work on.
We started a new dog themed jigsaw puzzle, this is a fun way to spend time together and we are finally trying the puzzle my daughter received for her birthday last year. She gets bored easily so I’ve been doing bits on it to help her. It takes up a lot of room but we’ve been using a puzzle board which fits neatly under the sofa.
I made a delicious chocolate brownie with apricot. I love baking cakes but I’ve been following Slimming World for a few months now and I found it easier to go without rather than trying a healthy cake recipe. However I couldn’t resist any longer so made the chocolate brownie recipe with apricots. I didn’t think I liked dried fruit but it’s delicious.
I’ve been making a little DIY project, painting an old window so I can use it as a photo prop. It’s been hanging around for ages so I’m excited to finally make a start, sanding the frame and painting it a deep, dark blue.
Will you be celebrating Burns Night on Saturday 25th? We don’t usually do anything but our local pub is hosting a Burns Night so we’ve booked a table and will be leaving the kids at home!
Let me know what’s made you happy lately.
