I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing. Last week was busy as my husband was away on a business trip to Oslo. He brought back a suitcase full of Norwegian chocolate which we were all really happy about.
Five Happy Things {Week 248}
I don’t work on Mondays and decided to head into London. I recently renewed my National Art Pass and used it to visit the Manga and Edvard Munch exhibitions at the British Library. They were both so interesting and I enjoyed learning something new. I also stocked up on Pokemon goodies for my daughter in the British Museum shop.
My husband kindly bought me a new Orla Kiely bag to add to my collection. I have a lot of her styles but I spotted a satchel which I knew would be great for work. I always carry too many things around but I thought a smaller bag would help limit things. I chose the Bunch of Stems print in Forest and it’s perfect, I really loved using it last week.
My children had a busy week as they both had a Transition Day on Tuesday. They got to meet their new teachers and they both seem happy and excited about the new school year in September. My son got to spend Thursday at Crystal Palace for a Sports Festival too, I love that they get so many exciting opportunities through school.
Over the weekend I sang with my local choir. We performed a concert version of Kiss Me Kate and it went really well. The weather has cooled down a little and the concert was well attended.
Yesterday I helped at my daughter’s Beaver Sports Day. The weather was just right and she loved taking part in the races. Their Beaver group came third overall and they were all awarded medals. It was fun to be out enjoying the sunshine.
Have a great week everyone.
