Monday Happy List

Five Happy Things {Week 23/2025}

Craftpod embroidery bee hoop

Starting the week by writing the Happy List is something I’ve been doing for the last few years. It’s my chance to sit down and reflect on the things that made me smile in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures.

Five Happy Things {Week 23/2025}

Last week my daughter had a trial at a local athletics club and had a great time. They’ve already said they would be happy to have her join them. I can’t believe this will be another commitment to an already busy week but I’m happy she will be outside and keeping active.

I finished the bee embroidery hoop from one of my Craftpod subscription boxes, I made some hama bead cherries, and also stitched the keyring kit from Love Embroidery magazine. I have a lot of badges to sew on my son’s badge blanket so stitched or made something different every day.

Next weekend the kids are both away at Scout camp so we went out for an early Father’s Day meal at a local Argentinian restaurant. The food was amazing and it made for a lovely treat.

I finished reading Dear Miss Lake by AJ Pearce, this was the final novel in The Wartime Chronicles series. I’ve really enjoyed reading the series, I do love a historical novel. I’m very sad that was the last book in the series but would recommend it to anyone who loves historical fiction set in wartime London.

What made you happy last week?

    We also celebrated Father’s Day early this year, as we are busy on the actual day. It sounds like you all keep very busy!

    Your needlework is everything and you make me want to head to the croft store and pick up some supplies! Beautiful!
