Five Happy Things {Week 225}

The Hidden World immersive screening London

Monday morning again. Hope you had a great weekend. I love to start the week by writing Five Happy Things. It’s a chance for me to sit down and reflect on the things that made me happy in the previous week, as well as to record some of our family adventures – it’s a post I always enjoy writing.

Five happy things {Week 225}

Both the children have been busy at school. My daughter took part in an assembly (which I couldn’t attend due to work) and brought home the Achievement she was awarded for making brilliant New Year Resolutions. My son got a Merit for his Family History research. I love studying our family history and my son wanted to learn if any of our family had ever moved from another country. It was easy to look it up and print off the relevant section for him to take into school. They were both pretty proud of themselves this week.

Last week it snowed (and it looks like there is more to come!). Living in London we don’t normally get much snow. It started to snow when I was picking up my children from school and got heavier and heavier – and settled! They were both so happy as there was enough to play in and make snowballs.

I had a really strange cough and cold last week so I didn’t feel like doing much after work. So we finished Sex Education on Netflix, watched The Favourite and Bohemian Rhapsody. They were all so different but excellent. I’m so sad that we finished Sex Education, I really hope there will be a second season.

On Saturday we went to a special screening of How To Tame Your Dragon: The Hidden World which is out on February 1st. We love the franchise and thought the film was pretty special. You can read all about our experience at the immersive screening as well as win one of the amazing goody bags we received.

My children have gone crazy for The Lego Movie 2 which comes out soon. They are counting down the day until the film is released but have already got their hands on Lego sets, sticker albums, sticker books and so many books. Did you know The Lego Movie 2 minifigs are out on February 1st followed by the actual film on February 7th? I think I’m going to have to start a countdown for them – here’s hoping the promise of seeing the film will result in some good behaviour. Take a look at one of the videos my youngest made!

Have a great week!

    What a great idea to start the week on a happy note. We had a little bit of snow too this week, and my children were both out playing in it like little kids, despite the fact that they’re both teenagers!

    We’re very excited about the LEGO Movie 2 as well! We had lots of snow, but it’s all washing away today.
