Every year I enjoy making a few new decorations. This year I added some easy Liberty cinnamon tree decorations. I had a lot of fun choosing my favourite Christmas Liberty prints and stitching up these Liberty cinnamon trees. So far I’ve made three and I love to see a splash of Liberty on our Christmas tree.
Liberty cinnamon trees supplies:
Liberty fabric
Scissors
String
Toy stuffing
Cinnamon sticks

Easy Liberty cinnamon tree decorations
I cut a paper triangle and used it as a template for my tree, cutting two triangles from the fabric.
I placed one fabric triangle right side up and cut a small piece of string which I placed at the top of it. I placed the other piece of fabric right side down and pinned the two pieces of fabric together.
I used my sewing machine to stitch round the triangle, leaving a small opening at the bottom. I carefully snipped away excess fabric at the top and corners, before turning the tree the right way.
I pushed out the corners and gently pulled the string to make the tree the right shape.
I gently stuffed each tree with toy stuffing and placed a cinnamon stick in the gap for the tree trunk. I hand stitched the gap either side of the cinnamon stick using ladder stitch.
I made three Liberty cinnamon tree decorations from my favourite fabrics. I’ve hung them on my tree and the cinnamon really fills the room.
