Share the magic of reading with Disney Book Week

Posted on June 3, 2016 by jenny

As a family who love to read we’re delighted to help promote the magic of Disney Book Week. My children love to read, something we introduced them to when they were tiny babies. I’m so pleased that at the grand old ages of 6 and 4 years old, that we still share at least one book at bedtime with each of them.

Disney Book Week, is an exciting campaign running from 25th May – 12th June from Parragon and Disney. Disney movies have delighted generations of children and we can often be found re-watching one of our favourites when we need some quiet time. The exclusive Disney Movie Collection of over 20 Disney storybooks offers a wonderful opportunity to relive your favourite Disney/Pixar classic tales with your family.

There are 23 titles in the Disney Movie Collection ranging from Toy Story, Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, Peter Pan, Frozen, Tangled and many more. We received The Jungle Book and Frozen, two classic stories which we’ve been sharing at bedtime.

sharing the Disney magic during Disney Book Week

Mowgli, the Man-cub, has lived in the jungle his whole life. So, when Bagsheera tries to take him to the Man-village to escape the Man-hating tiger, Shere Khan, Mowgli runs away. Will Mowgli ever agree to leave his animal friends and live with the other humans?

When a majestic kingdom is trapped in an eternal winter, Anna sets off on a journey to find her sister, Elsa. Can Anna and her new friends put an end to Elsa’s icy spell and save Arendelle?

The books are lovely, in hardback, with pictures on every page which means even my 4 year old, who can’t read yet, can enjoy them. I know these books will be treasured by my two and look forward to collecting more in the range.

The Disney Movie Collection is available priced £9.99 each from 23rd May from the Disney Store, Amazon, John Lewis and WHSmith.
