Designing a dream horse with PetPlan Equine

Posted on September 11, 2019February 2, 2025 by jenny

My youngest just loves horses. She went on her first horse ride last year with Beavers and absolutely loved it. Sadly we can’t squeeze horse riding lessons into our busy schedules of after school clubs and activities at the moment. However she was pretty delighted to be asked to draw her dream horse. She just loves drawing and was so happy to set herself up with her favourite colouring pens and get drawing.

Now I think that a lot of us dreamt of having a horse when we were younger. But my daughter’s generation seem to be dreaming of owning a unicorn! Yes, my 7 year old wasn’t content with just drawing her dream horse, she made a uni-horse. Her horse had a white body, brown legs and a brown head, along with a very colourful tail and unicorn horn.

What she didn’t know was that since having equine insurance is part of being a responsible horse owner, PetPlan Equine Horse Insurance offered to have her design turned into a real soft toy! So I sent the drawing off and waited. A few weeks later her soft toy arrived.

Take a look at her face as she realises what she’s opening…

She was absolutely delighted to see her drawing come to life!

Every last detail was recreated, down to the colours of the uni-horse tail. She loves her new soft toy and it has pride of place on her bed. What do you think? Don’t you think that the soft toy is exactly like her drawing?

Disclosure – this post has been possible thanks to PetPlan Equine but all thoughts are my own.

OK this is so cool, how much fun to have your own personalised horse. Pet Plan are such a great company aren’t they? I always felt safe when I used them as insurance.

Aww, you can tell she’s very excited to have received that. How wonderful to think that children can let their imagination run wild with their drawings and then see their creations come to life!

I always dreamed of having a horse when I was younger, it’s one of the few things I really wanted that I never had the chance to have. It does look exactly like her drawing.
