My personal countdown to Christmas has begun! I always get a bit stressed about buying Christmas presents: there’s the expense, the actual shopping, worrying whether people will like what I’ve bought, and the logistics of getting to exchange gifts with family as well as retaining my sanity!
Since having Edward I’m hoping to do a lot of my shopping online this year. I don’t want the added stress of wandering aimlessly around shops with a little boy in tow and shopping online can be down from the comfort of the sofa. I recently discovered a new online shop called cocoboat where I’ve seen a lovely selection of beautiful items and several Christmas gift ideas for the women in my life. I have a mother, sister, three nieces, mother in law and close female friends to buy for.
Some of my top christmas presents include a ceramic bird nester for my garden loving mum. She’s created a small oasis in her garden and is keen to attract more birds. I was also thinking of a hanging bird feeder for my sister. She’s not the most green-fingered but loves to watch birds in her garden with her three children. For my cake loving mother in law I found the perfect christmas present – a cake stand babell. For my three nieces I wanted some more creative christmas presents, I love the grow your own pocket garden herbs. And finally, for my best friend, the postcarden botanical is a must have for her city flat!
I find shopping online makes searching for last minute christmas gifts really simple. I love that it takes the strain out of shopping and lets me find some great christmas presents that can’t be found on the high street. Luckily I have a great relationship with my postie who always seems to have a parcel or two for me!
