Christmas handmade

Christmas spirit

I’m loving my mum’s Christmas spirit at the moment. This evening we were in the kitchen making marzipan fruits and fudge for Christmas when there was a knock at the door. When she opened it a group of carol singers burst into song with “We Wish You a Merry Christmas. She said “I don’t think so, thank you” and shut the door! Then she muttered “That’s not even a proper Christmas carol”. Now my mum has spent the last few months preparing for Christmas and gets more excited than any of us so her reaction really surprised us (and made us giggle!).

I thought I’d take part in the British Mummy Bloggers December Blog Hop. I love reading blogs and thought it was a great way to find some new to me blogs.

Now, link up and pass it on. Enjoy this month’s New Member (and OLD!) Blog Hop: This is a Blog Hop! 25 entries so far… you’re next!

Oh no! I’d love the idea of someone singing through my front door, give me carol singers over trick or treaters any day.

I know! We don’t get carol singers where we live so it was an unexpected pleasure until it was cut short 🙂

No recipe needed! Just get a block of marzipan and divide it roughly according to the number of fruits you are making. We coloured the blocks with food colouring, rolled the fruit shape in caster sugar and used cloves for decoration. Nice and easy!
