Win A Child’s Christmas in Wales – 3 up for grabs

Posted on October 21, 2014November 7, 2014 by jenny

‘All the Christmases roll down toward the two-tongued sea, like a cold and headlong moon bundling down the sky that was our street…’

Celebrated poet, Dylan Thomas, recalls his own childhood with wit and magic in this beautiful children’s classic that has become one of his most popular works.

A-Childs-Christmas-in-Wales

Dylan Thomas’s lyrical account of his childhood Christmases in a small Welsh town, featuring wolves, bears, hippos and Mrs Prothero’s cat, has become deservedly famous. This re-designed edition from Orion Children’s Books celebrates the centenary of his birth, and features brand-new artwork from illustrator Peter Bailey. This would make a beautiful gift edition of a classic work from one of Britain’s best-loved writers.

Giveaway:

I have teamed up with Orion Children’s Books for a lovely giveaway. I have 3 copies of A Child’s Christmas in Wales by Dylan Thomas to giveaway to readers of the gingerbread house.

Father Christmas has a busy night – Can’t remember the author and the book has since been lost, but my children will never forget the story and neither will I. So simple and so traditional.
