Schleich’s The First Giants Dinosaurs range

Last year we told you about Schleich’s new range of prehistoric animals and shared a fun craft idea, DIY dinosaur fossils using the Schleich mini dinosaurs from the range. We love our Schleich toys so were pleased to be sent the new dinosaurs from Schleich’s The First Dinosaurs range. For 2016, Schleich has gone back to the era when prehistoric creatures first walked our planet with the introduction of ‘The First Dinosaurs’.  The collection includes five of the first well-known dinosaurs, each of which come complete with moving jaw and educational booklet which contains facts about each dinosaur. The species…

    Schleich Ocean figurines

I’m always keen for my children to have a range of toys. As much as they love their tv or film tie-in toys I also love the fact they have other toys which encourage free play such as Schleich handpainted toy figurines and accessories. We have a collection of mainly animals which are fun for encouraging small world play, learning about animals and simple play where instructions are not necessary. We received a selection of toys from the World of Nature/Wild Life/Ocean range including the Schleich Ocean set (41407), a Blue Whale (14696), Killer whale (14697), Dolphin (14699), Blue shark…

5 ways to play with Plasticine Softeez

Earlier this week we took part in a Twitter Party for the new Plasticine Softeez from Flair. Plasticine is something I remember from my own childhood so I was excited to see that it had come back and my children would be able to play with it. Unlike play dough, Plasticine never dries out. It also comes in many colours which you can mix to make new colours. It is also really easy to handle and play with. I thought it might be helpful to share 5 ways to play with Plasticine Softeez: Plasticine is great for learning about colours…

    Plasticine Softeez review

As I mentioned on Monday we’re very excited to be taking part in a fun Plasticine Softeez Twitter party on Wednesday 5th August between 2-4pm. The Party will be for the new Plasticine Softeez range for Autumn/Winter from Flair which is aimed at children ages 3-7. New Plasticine Softeez has the stability of original Plasticine and still never dries out, but is softer and easier to model with than the original. So is perfect for little hands! We are really looking forward to our party and sharing it with you so I thought I would tell you a little more about…

    Schleich Farm Life

Earlier this year Schleich introduced some new products to their Farm life range. A few months ago we reviewed the Schleich horse riding arena and we were sent some items from the new range which complement this set. We love Schleich toys, they are beautifully made with an amazing level of detail. They are great for imaginative play and the children have been having fun with the horse riding arena. It came with a horse, rider and a few accessories but I like the fact you can buy more. We received 3 horses, the Knabstrupper mare (item 13769), Tennessee Walker…

    Schleich Horse Riding Arena

I’ve always hoped my children would been keen to collect Schleich toys. They’re a great heritage brand and represent excellent quality and value to me as a parent. Luckily both my children love collecting Schleich animals and people. They’re perfect for small world play, pocket money friendly and a day out is never complete without squeezing a few in their rucksack to take with them. We were offered the Schleich Horse Riding Arena to review, which comes with the Arena, a horse with rider, accessories and jumps. The packaging was visually appealing and the arena required minimum construction skills from…
