One of the perks of being a blogger is that my children get to review some lovely toys. Big Brother is a typical boy who has enjoyed playing with cars since he could grasp one. Over the years I’ve loved watching him play with them and his growing imagination means he is never short of ideas to play. He was recently sent the Hot Wheels Nitrobot Attack playset to tell you about. Hot Wheels Nitrobot Attack Hot Wheels toys are fun and you can save the City from the Nitrobot with the Hot Wheels Nitrobot Attack! Yep, kids can now…

As I’ve mentioned a few times, my 5 year old absolutely adores the Clangers who recently made a return to children’s tv. During the summer holidays we spent many happy hours perfecting our own version of the Clangers home planet. It’s actually still going strong despite hours of play. The BBC Shop has a great range of Clangers toys and we were invited to choose one to play with and tell you about. We chose the Clangers Home Planet Playset which my son has been talking about for months. He already has a few Clangers figures and the Home Planet…

We’ve been sent a few lovely toys to review lately and the last one I wanted to tell you about today was the Aquabeads Sweets set. Aquabeads are small round coloured balls which stick together with a spray of water. My 3 year old loves them, which surprises me as they are quite small, so she was really pleased to receive the Aquabeads Sweets set to review. These small Aquabeads sets only contain the templates and beads, you will need to own an Aquabeads layout tray and sprayer. The set contains 600 beads in 10 different colours, both jewel and solid beads.…

I recently received an email about Flair’s Xeno Koopies and I couldn’t resist their cute little faces and I knew my children would love them too. We received an orange one to review and we’ve all been having a lot of fun with it, it’s a little like having a new pet. Xeno Koopies are loveable yet cheeky little monsters who interact and play with you! They have glow in the dark eyes and a very tactile feel. They make over 70 different sounds and have 6 touch interactive sensors on their bodies. They are available in three colours –…

Sylvanian Families are one toy which is always out in our house so I thought it would be fun to make a Halloween play scene for my daughter. Did you see the photo I shared on Twitter last week about the new limited edition Sylvanian Families Halloween Set from Epoch? This spooky set contains an orange and black slide decorated with ghosts and ghoulies, as well as two figurines – Baby Crème Chocolate and little Ambrose Walnut. There are also two little rabbit cuddlies to keep the tots company, as well as matching accessories for them to play with as…

Have you noticed how the weather has changed overnight and we’re now in Autumn? We’re adjusting to dark mornings and treading on a carpet of fallen leaves whenever we leave the house. There is plenty to keep us busy though thanks to Super 4 which is a fab new animated CITV series, inspired by PLAYMOBIL! Have you seen it yet? Shaped around popular Playmobil worlds such as Pirates, Fairies, Knights and Top Agents, the series follows the adventures of four new heroes Alex, Gene, Ruby and Twinkle. The brand new toys from the series have just launched and we were…

With a 5 year old interested in computers, gadgets and radio controlled cars I was interested in the Teksta Robotics Scorpion from Character. This is aimed at children aged 5+ and we were sent one to review. Teksta Robotics have produced a wireless motion control interactive toy in the shape of a scorpion. It uses intuitive motion control technology via a module you wear or hold to control the scorpion. His powerful jaws capture the power core. Teksta Robotics Scorpion: the light up eye shows you he’s ready to be under your control the scorpion moves in all directions stop…
