The good thing about having a very active 16 month old is that there’s NO time to think about being pregnant. This is both a good and a bad thing. Good because if I think too much I start to worry how I’m going to cope. Bad because I’m finding it really hard to put my feet up, relax and enjoy being pregnant. At some stage I’m going to have to get the newborn car seat back from my mum’s house as well as the new baby clothes we left there when Edward outgrew them. I need to pack a…

A couple of months ago I was tweeting about how frustrated I was with the stroller we were using. It was a wet and windy day and the flimsy rain cover had ripped, only the second time we had used it. Mamas and Papas came to my rescue and offered me the chance to try one of their strollers. I chose the Mamas and Papas Voyage as this seemed to have a brilliant sun and rain cover. We’ve used it every day since it arrived and our old one is forgotten in a corner somewhere. Some of the features we…

I love the end of a month, it feels really satisfying to think of all the things I’ve done or made, the events I’ve attended, people I’ve met and the new skills that Edward has picked up. June has been busy for me, it’s the month where I’ve had lunch with the Olympian Steve Parry, had my hair styled by Michael Douglas and my photograph taken with Sarah Brown. I’ve been crippled with tooth ache and had an emergency trip to the dental hospital and also had sunstroke. Pregnancy is making me feel tired but today I found out I…

My lovely Cybermummy sponsor NurseryValue.com asked if I would like to try one of their best-selling strollers. Now you all know how much I love testing new strollers so I was excited to get my hands on a Petite Star Zia in black. The first thing that impressed me was how easy it was to unpack and put together. We’ve been using it for a couple of weeks and it gets a big thumbs up from us. We’ve taken it everywhere, on public transport, to the local shops and in the boot for longer trips. My son is very happy…

I’m hoping to record the highs and lows of my second pregnancy. So, from the beginning: Week 5 – I did a pregnancy test to confirm what I already knew! I had an allergic reaction to something which made my skin itchy but the Doctor said it was nothing pregnancy related. I sent off my self referral form to the North Middlesex Hospital (where I had my son last year). Week 6 – Feeling tired, tiny weight gain and discomfort around csection. Suffering from terrible nausea all day long so started listening to a great mp3 from Mums 2 Tums.…

There’s a new glossy magazine aimed at modern mum’s just like me and you. It’s called Gurgle and available exclusively in Mothercare stores, Early Learning Centres, or via subscription. So what do you get for the princely sum of £2? I was sent the first copy to review and I loved it. It is packed full of advice on parenting and tips for family life, fashion must-haves, food, travel and celebrity news. I had a good read from cover to cover and will be passing it round my circle of mum friends. Things I liked: appealing front cover fresh layout…

Earlier this year we bought our first Maclaren stroller. I was very excited as I’ve always wanted a Maclaren. We chose the Quest Sport as it was perfect for our needs – lightweight, easy to collapse and fold with one hand (and foot). Ever since we bought it I’ve used it every day and not used my beloved Bugaboo Chameleon. I love my Maclaren! However, only four months on and it’s already past its best… Things I love lightweight, easy to collapse and fold with one hand adequate shopping basket maneoverable with one hand showerproof hood and easy to use…

For our final QuinnyCasters challenge we were asked “How do you say goodbye to your QuinnyCaster period?” I asked my son what he thought and we decided to hold a teddy bear’s picnic with our Quinny Zapp Xtra as the special guest. We sat round our blanket and ate cake and drank fizzy pop. We shared happy memories of trips out in the Quinny Zapp Xtra. We even read out our Quinny Zapp Xtra haiku which we composed especially: Our time as Quinny Casters is over we have had fun and made friends We’ve enjoyed our time as QuinnyCasters…

We were offered the chance to review a buggysnuggle. I don’t know if you’ve heard of them but they are basically a universal footmuff. Now, you know I’m a pram junkie and have used both Quinny and Bugaboo footmuffs but I hadn’t purchased a footmuff for my Maclaren Quest Sport so I was looking forward to trying the buggysnuggle out. When the buggysnuggle arrived I ripped the packaging off and set about putting it on our Maclaren. The first thing I noticed was how easy it was to attach to the buggy. The design means it doesn’t have to be…
