    Schleich Eldrador dragon range {Dragon Night Hunter}

    The beautiful weather we were enjoying over the Easter holidays has gone so we’ve been spending more time indoors recently. The kids are desperate to play outside but have had to adapt to indoors games. April is such a changeable month and we are so ready for sunshine! Schleich Eldrador range Our Schleich collection has been out a lot and we were delighted to receive one of the Schleich Eldrador Dragons to review. We hadn’t heard of the Eldrador series before. Eldrador is the wonderful knight’s adventure in a world of fiery volcanoes, icebergs and huge castles. The range includes dragons, Griffin Knights, Dragon…

    The perfect Spring day out {Odds Park Farm}

    Now the weather is warming up I’m really excited to get out more at the weekend. Not that we don’t go out in winter, it’s just a lot more enjoyable when the weather is warmer. Living on the outskirts of London the countryside is at the end of the road. We’re lucky to have Odds Park Farm only 20 minutes away and in the last we’ve been for a friends birthday party as well as the Reception class school trip. The perfect Spring day out  at Odds Park Farm Odds Park Farm is a certified Rare Breeds Farm at Wooburn…

    Sylvanian Families Cake Decorating Set

    I think it’s pretty apt that my last post was about baking. We’re a family who loves to spend time in the kitchen and our last bake, fingerprint cookies, went down pretty well. So I knew that my 5 year old would love to review the Sylvanian Families Cake Decorating Set. Sylvanian Families Cake Decorating Set My daughter has collected Sylvanian Families for years. It’s easily one of her favourite toys and I love that she can play with the figures, the buildings, vehicles or just get everything out and cover the floor for days on end. We thought we would…

    Star Wars Reads 2017

    Now in its sixth year, Star Wars Reads, a celebration of Star Wars and reading, has returned with a month-long campaign throughout April. Last year I wrote a post about my son. The only books he would read were Star Wars related, with a few Angry Birds and Minecraft books thrown into the mix. I really thought a year later I would not be writing this post but guess what? He’s still the same. Slightly bigger perhaps but still only reading Star Wars books on his own. Together we have managed to read a few Roald Dahl books, we’ve just finished reading Matilda. And…

    7 things to do in London in 2017

    I can’t lie. A small part of me was glad that the children returned to school and the husband to work this morning. I really enjoyed our Easter holidays but the days were just so busy and sociable. I missed my quiet time. We’re not blessed with any family anywhere near us so it’s pretty hard to do anything as a couple. For the last 7 years we’ve been a family and I love our family days out. But occasionally we remember our child-free days of going out after work, lazy weekend lunches and the hottest tickets for the latest…

    Magic Tracks Starter Set {Glow in the Dark track and toy car review}

    With our Easter holidays drawing to a close I must share one of the toys which have kept the children busy – Magic Tracks! Magic Tracks is a new track set system that is just hitting UK. Suitable for children from age 3, the set launched in the US last year and ended the year as one of the top ten toys in the country. We were super excited to try the Magic Tracks Starter Set out! Magic Tracks – what’s in the box? The Magic Tracks Starter Set included a cute little red car, sheet of stickers and 220 pieces of…

    Haynes International Motor Museum {day out with kids}

    We visit Wiltshire quite a few times a year as my mum lives there. It can be difficult to find time for days out but over the last few years we’ve visited Westbury Manor as well as Bratton Camp and the Westbury White Horse. Today we visited the Haynes International Motor Museum with the children (aged 5 and 7). It’s based in Sparkford, near Yeovil in Somerset, and we’ve driven past a few times, always meaning to stop. If you’re looking for something to do with children on the Somerset/Wiltshire border then this makes a great day out. Haynes International Motor Museum…

    Eastcote House Gardens {exploring the local area}

    We’ve now lived in our present house for 4 years. The time has gone so quickly but we’re still discovering local places. I thought it would be fun to write about some of favourite places, and record the new ones we discover too. As the weather is getting warmer we’re so excited to get out and about more. Eastcote House Gardens Eastcote House Gardens is actually one of the first places we visited when we first moved to the area. It’s a large public park, formerly the site of Eastcote House. The house was demolished in the 1960s, leaving a…

    How to hold an Easter Egg Hunt at home {with a little help from Cadbury}

    Did you know a whopping 255,000 Cadbury Easter Eggs are made at the Bournville factory every day? That’s 10,625 Cadbury Easter Eggs made per hour… and 177 per minute! I’m sure that’s something my children would love to see as they just can’t get enough Easter eggs at this time of year. In fact it’s safe to say that Easter is their second favourite holiday after Christmas. I love Easter too and a few days ago I gave them an Easter crate full of crafts and activities to keep them busy over the Easter holidays. How to hold an Easter Egg…
