We’re a family that enjoys eating out. My lovely new kitchen is not quite finished so when we were invited to sample the new menu at our local Café Rouge I jumped at the chance. It’s been a while since we last visited our local Café Rouge. It’s housed in a gorgeous old building on the High Street and we usually go when we want a grown up lunch date. However the invitation was for the whole family so off we went. My children were more than happy with the Children’s Menu which was a fixed price of £6.95 for…

Earlier this month I bought myself a ticket to the Print & Make workshop with Nikki McWilliams at West Elm. I’m sure you’ve heard of Nikki McWilliams but just in case you haven’t, she is a cool designer who creates all things biscuit-y. I first heard about her when I saw her Tunnocks’ inspired cushions. The workshop was to learn how to craft your own Biscuit Clutch bag which sounded intriguing. I waited for my husband to come home from work before handing over the kids and taking the tube into the West End. I love a trip into town…

This weekend I had my annual trip to The Handmade Fair. I went with my sister last year and had a brilliant time so was really keen to go again. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a bit like a festival for crafty people, about appreciating the beauty of handmade, and learning the skills to become a maker yourself. The price of your ticket includes The Super Theatre, a Skills Workshop and Grand Make and there are also huge tents full of crafty shops to look around and buy from. Some of the workshops book up really quickly but…
