Last week we had an amazing day at Legoland. We try and go every year and we’ve always been blessed with amazing weather. I love experimenting with bento lunches but I only realised after we had got home that a Lego bento picnic would have been fun! Today I finally got round to it and the children loved it so I thought I would share my easy Lego bento with you. I already had everything I needed which included a Lego lunch box and small Lego box, egg mould and made picks from plastic toothpicks and small Lego bricks. First…

We love Lego and I’ve been looking for some ways to use it a little differently. What could be better than Lego in soap? Surely that could only encourage my potty training 2 year old to wash her hands! Lego soap dispenser materials: soap dispenser lego liquid soap How to make a lego soap dispenser First of all I let my 4 year old go through our Lego stash. I asked him to fill a container with green pieces but he was easily sidetracked! Eventually we had plenty of pieces to look at. He chose enough to half fill the…

One of my favourite upcycled crafts has been transforming our old Ikea coffee table into a Lego Duplo table for the children. It’s probably the piece of furniture we’ve had the longest as I think we bought it 8 years ago when we first moved in together. It’s served us well. A couple of years ago it got its first transformation. It was given a coat or two of blackboard paint so the toddler could do his mark making on it. He quickly got bored of that idea (walls were much more appealing) so it was pretty un-used and even…

I love how creative my children are with their Lego Duplo. It really inspires and challenges them. Today they got out the Lego table (which we made from an old Ikea table) and the children let their imaginations flow. My 4 year old loves the Disney Cars films so made a very elaborate garage for his Lego Duplo Lightning McQueen. He’s amassed quite a few different sets so was able to build walls, floors, lifts, and include petrol pumps, a post office and much much more! Dusty Crophopper ended up parking on the roof – I love it when my…

I love writing lists and ticking things off so this year we’ve made a Summer Bucket List. In an ideal world I’d have a grown up bucket list (which picked up where my Day Zero list finished off) which would be full of craft and sewing projects.
