As you may have seen in my gallery of badges below, I’m proud to be a member of Staedtler’s Try It Tribe. Over the last few weeks my son has been making a papier-mâché play scene for his Clangers figures. They live on, and inside, a small moon-like planet which we tried to re-create. He really enjoyed making it, and I’ve enjoyed helping him, so we just had to share it here. As Baker Ross ambassadors we were sent a selection of craft kits to review. The latest one was this fun set of Solar System scratch art containing 6 designs including space ships and planets. Living in London it’s important that we escape to the seaside as often as possible. We always come back with plenty of treasures from the beach including sea glass, smooth pebbles and shells. We’ve tried to make these into souvenirs, such as the fillable wooden letter filled with sea glass we made earlier this year. At the moment my guilty pleasure seems to be watching episodes of the Clangers. I find it strangely relaxing and super easy to sit and watch with my children. They seem to enjoy it as much as me and have been asking me to find pictures for them to colour. As I mentioned on Monday we’re very excited to be taking part in a fun Plasticine Softeez Twitter party on Wednesday 5th August between 2-4pm. We’ve had all our Duck Tapes out as we picked up a few more at the weekend – Disney Frozen Duck Tape anyone? We’ve been re-organising our craft supplies and I thought we would use some of our Duck Tapes to make containers. The Summer holidays have started now Big Brother has finished school. We’ve been enjoying lazy mornings and lots of crafting. Luckily we were sent some lovely craft kits from Baker Ross and the children really enjoyed the mini butterfly sun catchers.
